Spring 2012

Alex will be participating in the Artist Project independent art show from March 1-4, 2011 at the Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place, Toronto.

Fall 2011

Visit SOFA (An international Fair of Sculptural Objects) CHICAGO at the Navy Pier November 4-6 at the  Galerie Elena Lee booth. The gala event is November 3 from 5-9 p.m. Alex will be exhibiting two new pieces from the Manipulating the Earth series, and the Tower series of Sandcast glass topographical reliefs. She has incorporated an organic bronze cast base in one of her pieces for the first time. Visit www.sofaexpo.com for more information.

See four sandcast glass LED lights at ART TORONTO, the Toronto International Art Fair which takes place October 27-30. Alex will be exhibiting with 99 Gallery in booth 1112. The fair takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and is open from 12-6 each day and until 8 pm on Friday and Saturday.

 

Public Collections

Three of Alex's artworks are being acquired by public art collections in the next few months. The Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia, the Danish glass gallery, Glasmuseet Ebeltoft and the Canadiana State Fund Art Collection of the Government of Canada. Alex will be invited to meet the Canadian Governor General, Michaelle Jean, in Ottawa.
