The idea for the filaments series originally evolved from trying to capture the chaotic energy of brain synapses and other interconnecting phenomena that we cannot see.

The glass web structures are created in the hot shop during the glass-blowing process using previously pulled glass threads which are suspended within the vessel using heat.
