Pâte de verre

This non-traditional method of pâte de verre involves heating the glass powders and particles in a kiln to the exact point where they fuse together and then start to pull apart. A delicate, yet strong, lace-like structure is created with irregular perforations. The larger particles of glass partially melt to appear as lens like drops of water on the surface.
